Laser cutting is a sheet metal processing technique. We use a laser beam to cut custom products from stainless steel or aluminium. The high intensity of the light effectively melts the material away. At VDL Industrial Modules, we specialise in laser cutting stainless steel or aluminium sheet metal up to 5 mm thick. We do this for OEMs in Hightech, Mobility, Energy, Infratech and Foodtech.
With stainless steel or aluminium laser cutting, we can cut shapes or openings from sheet material quickly and accurately. The high precision makes stainless steel laser cutting ideal for cutting complex contours. Laser cutting also creates a clean, smooth edge without burrs. This reduces the need for additional finishing.
For laser cutting, we have created a fully automated machine park with Trumpf’s high-quality laser cutting machines and a laser/punch combination machine.
An automated sheet storage system takes the unprocessed sheet to the laser. After stainless steel laser cutting, it automatically returns the sheet to storage. The machines can produce fully unattended. This improves your product quality while reducing costs.
By linking the machines to our ERP systems, we can monitor your product’s status at any time. We can make adjustments where necessary, maintaining maximum control over the supply chain.
